DELVE, Richard Delve

It is with deep sadness that the family of Richard Delve announces his passing on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at the age of 62.

Richard was the beloved husband of 35 years to Robin Delve and a cherished father to Sam Delve and Ceilidh Sousa (Jeremy). He is lovingly remembered by his mother, Deanna Delve, and his father Owen Delve (Christie), as well as his brother, Wes Delve (James Kim). Richard will also be fondly remembered by his six sisters-in-law, his step-sister Acel, and his step-nephew Marcel.

Richard proudly served his country in the Canadian Armed Forces, with deployments during the Gulf War from 1990–1991, and in Bosnia in 1992 and 1996. His service was a source of great pride throughout his life.

Outside of his military service, Richard was an avid hunter, outdoorsman, and self-described “redneck” who found his greatest happiness in nature, surrounded by good friends and good stories. He spent many memorable hours with his friends at the Frontenac Rifle and Pistol Club, a place that meant a great deal to him, and where countless memories were made.

Richard will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, March 14, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at James Reid Funeral Home, 1900 John Counter Blvd., Kingston, Ontario.
