ATHANASSIADIS, Demetre – Passed away peacefully at the age of 81 on December 28, 2015 surrounded with the love of family.

Aristea, his wife, and daughters Ariadni, Gina and Mirella are grateful to the nurses and doctors who cared for him over the past few years and generous support of extended family and dear friends.

He will be remembered as a loving and compassionate family man with the “twinkle” in his eye and playful turn of phrase that endeared him to so many.

Friends are invited to visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street, Ottawa, Ontario on Thursday, December 31st between 4-7pm, including a Trisagion Prayer at 6 pm.

The Funeral Service will be held at Kimissis Tis Theotokou Greek Orthodox Church, 1315 Prince of Wales Drive, Ottawa, Ontario on January 2, 2016, at 11 am.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ottawa Hospital Foundation.
