DEMOOY, Gerald Daniel Demooy

We are sad to announce, the passing of Gerald Daniel Demooy. Born May 24, 1958 he lived in the Newcastle Ontario area most of his life. Died November 29,2025 in Oshawa after a long battle with a difficult illness. Beloved husband of Diane Elizabeth Miller. Predeceased by his parents Daniel Demooy and Grace Demooy (nee Veleke) and his brother Keith Demooy. Survived by sister Jane Demooy , sister Trudy DeMooy Barton ( Predeceased by brother in law Craig Barton) and was nephew to Thomas Barton (wife Jessica.), Emily Barkwell( husband James), great uncle to Clark and Thomas Barkwell.

Lovingly remembered by son-in-law William Southgate and wife Holly and their sons Evan, Logan and Dave. Brother in law to David Miller and wife Debi.

Remembered by Uncle Leo and Aunt Grace Demooy and numerous cousins.

He will forever be loved and greatly missed by everyone.

Friends and family are invited to gather at NEWCASTLE FUNERAL HOME on Thursday December 4th, 2025 for a visitation at 12:00 noon until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. Reception to follow at the funeral home.
