DESAI, Harshadrai Maganlal Desai

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Harshadrai Maganlal Desai. He passed away peacefully on Monday March 9, 2026, at 8:00 PM at Bluewater Health Hospital in Sarnia, Canada, surrounded by his family. He was 90 years old. Born in Valsad, Gujarat, India, Harshadrai was the son of Maganlal Desai and Santaben Desai and the second eldest of eight siblings: Natubhai, Ranjitbhai, Shakuntalaben, Bhupendrabhai and the late Kusumben, the late Sureshbhai, the late Pravinbhai Desai. On March 12, 1966, he married his beloved wife, Urmila. He was a devoted father for Rajesh and Rupal and father-in-law to Purvi and Divyesh. Later in life, he moved to Canada to be closer to his family. He is lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Arpita, Khushboo, Vaibhav, Dhyeya, and Prapti and his great-grandchildren Jay, Krish, Kaira, and Arnav. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Ceremonial prayers will be held at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with cremation to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Sarnia.
