DESJARDINS , Robert “Bob” Peter Desjardins

After battling many health issues, Robert (Bob) Desjardins passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on July 28, 2025, in his 80th year.

Born in Ramore, Ontario, Bob was predeceased by his parents, Andre and Antoinette Desjardins, and in-laws Antonio and Sofia Ciuro. He is survived by his childhood sweetheart and wife of 58 years, Rose (née Ciuro); his daughter Sofia (Randolph) Davey, and son Dino (Elizabeth) Desjardins; and 8 grandchildren: Nicholas (Sukanya), Amanda, Emily, Matthew, Joshua, Scott, Fiona, and Luca.

Dear brother to Monique (Sandor) and Ron (Simone), and predeceased sister Lise. He will be sadly missed by his sisters-in-law Nancy (Ken), Silvana (Ken), and brother-in-law Sandy (George), along with many nieces and nephews.

He loved his dogs, Nemo and Lucky, who were always by his side. Bob was a previous resident of Manitouwadge, Ontario, where he operated Union Taxi for 9 years. He enjoyed being outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, and was known as the family handyman, always bringing humor and wit to life.

Cremation has taken place. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, 620 Rymal Rd E, Hamilton, Ontario. Private family interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
