DESLAURIER , Sylvia Irene Deslaurier (née Church)

It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Sylvia Irene Deslaurier (née Church) on Thursday, August 7, 2025 in her 94th year.

Loving mother of Vicki Deslaurier-Nigro (Bob), loving grandmother to Daniel and Amanda (Karl Poyhonen).

Sylvia was predeceased by her daughter Bonnie Cloutier (Rick), granny to Jamie (Randi-Ann) and six great grandchildren.

She was the loving mother of Cindy McCullam (Bill), grandmother to Emmylou (Shawn Thompson), Annalize Jessup, Blaine Sidock (Jayme) and five great grandchildren.

Her son Jim Deslaurier (Mary), grandmother to Emily, Michael (Anna), Bonita (Sid Tomar), Sara (Andy Jones) and two great grandchildren.

Her daughter Mavis Proctor (late Ted), grandmother to Nick Solowjew, Cody (Hope), Cole, Caylan (Pat Pender), and six great grandchildren.

Her son Myles Cameron (Lynn), grandmother to Shawn (Cheryl), Andrew, Lyndsey Lowe (Jon) and 8 great grandchildren.

She was the mother of Darlene Mask (late Ronnie), grandmother to Bob and Laurie, four great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

Sylvia is survived by her sister-in-law Margo Church. She is predeceased by her parents Augusta (Fischer) and Randolph Church, as well as her siblings, Jeff Church (Margo), Sheldon Church, Norma Cameron, Jacqueline Geddes, Gloria Jean Bruce and Arlene Brydges.

Sylvia was a very special Aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Service will be held on Saturday, September 13th, 2025 at Trinity St. Andrews United Church, Renfrew at 2pm followed by visitation and celebration of life at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 148 Renfrew.

Professional arrangements have been entrusted to Zohr Family Funeral Home, Renfrew.
