DEVEAU, Belinda Leanne Jamieson Deveau

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Belinda Leanne Jamieson (Deveau), age 55, at the Civic Hospital in Ottawa on September 21, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family and friends.
Belinda was born on April 19, 1970, in Hamilton, Ontario, to Clifford Deveau and Brenda Wills. She later settled in Terence Bay, Nova Scotia, with her little sister Bonnie, Brenda, and Michael Snyder. She attended Sir John A. MacDonald High School before beginning a dedicated career. Belinda worked at K&D Industries in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, for 12 years, and later moved to Pembroke, Ontario, where she worked at Pemco Steel for 25 years.
Family was at the center of Belinda’s life. She was blessed to share a deep bond with Travis and Brooklynn, whom she loved as her own. She also shared a special bond with her nephew Josh, who lovingly nicknamed her “Bindy.” Sadly missed by her fur baby, Oscar. Belinda made everyone feel loved—her kindness, compassion, and warmth were at the heart of who she was. She was humble, generous, honest, and known for her calm presence. Her home was always open; if you stepped inside, you were family.
Though she faced many health challenges, Belinda’s spirit remained strong. She met each obstacle with courage, grace, and optimism, always finding joy in life’s little moments and inspiring everyone around her.
Belinda will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Anthony’s Italian Grill, 133 Pembroke Street E, Pembroke, Ontario. All who loved Belinda are welcome to join in remembering and honoring her life. In lieu of flowers, donations to Canadian Diabetic Association would be appreciated.
