DILEO, John Joseph Dileo

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of John Joseph Dileo, who entered eternal life on February 4, 2026, at the age of 76. John was born on May 21, 1949, and lived a life grounded in love for his family, quiet strength, and devotion to his faith. Two of his favorite passions in life were coaching hockey and heavy involvement in Drum Corps.

John was the beloved husband of Debbie, with whom he shared a lifetime of love, partnership, and cherished memories. He was a proud and devoted father to Scott Clarke (Yvonne), Jason Dileo (Christina), Dustin Dileo (Beth), Aaron Dileo (Racheli), and Tyson Dileo (Ela). His greatest joy was being “Grandpa” to his grandchildren Samantha (Zack), Kylie (Justin), Izzie, Sophia, Amelia, Olivia, Brendan, Christian, Daniel, Jonathan, Mason, and Miles, and great-grandfather to Charlie, Evelyn, and Nolan, each of whom held a special place in his heart.

John is lovingly remembered by his siblings Paul (Pat) and Diane (Bob Moores) and is reunited in heaven with his predeceased brother Joseph Dileo.

John lived by the values of kindness, humility, and dedication to family and numerous friends who will miss him deeply. His life reflected a deep trust in God’s plan, and his legacy will continue through the generations he so dearly loved. We take comfort in the promise of eternal life and trust that he now rests in the loving arms of our Lord.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during Visitation on Monday, February 9, 2026, from 2–4 PM and 6–9 PM at Bernardo Funeral Home, located at 2960 Dufferin Street (south of Lawrence Avenue West). Light refreshments will be available during the evening visitation.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, 2 Richardson Avenue (at Eglinton Avenue, east of Keele Street).

In lieu of flowers, donations in John’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

May he rest in peace and may perpetual light shine upon him.
