MAASLAND, Dirk Maasland Obituary

MAASLAND, Dirk – Dirk Maasland, 81, passed on October 7th, 2015 following an exceedingly full life.

Loving husband of Paula for 58 years and father of Francine (Gary) Canberra Australia, Albert (Sian) London UK, Steven (Mara) Moorestown New Jersey and Anita (Mike) Ottawa and 11 grandchildren.

Dirk was a long time Rotary Club member, jazz musician, avid globetrotting walker and voracious reader. He was humming and tapping his foot to the music till the very end.

Born in the Netherlands, Dirk finished his PhD in the US before coming to Canada to pursue a career in the civil service.

Please leave your tears at home and come share your stories and celebrate a life well lived at the Delta hotel, 101 Lyon St N, Ottawa, Ontario on Friday October 16th from 2-4.
