DIVJAK, Slobodan “Boby” Divjak

Passed away in his 81st year on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital.

Beloved husband of Milka. Devoted father of David and Tatjana. Warmly remembered by his daughter in-law, Kate. Survived by his sisters Dusanka and Sava.

Bob passed away peacefully following health complications and an eight-year courageous journey with dementia.

Bob was a man of deep conviction, unwavering love for his family, and a faithful evangelizer, nicknamed Bob the Evangelizer. His strength of character and the respect he earned made him a steady rock for all who looked up to him. He was a dedicated and hardworking man, but he worked even harder in the service of Jehovah, which brought him great purpose and joy.

The love of his life was his wife of 54 years, Milka. They married June 10th, 1972, and together they were a beautiful testament to enduring love and steadfast faith — something evident to anyone who had the privilege of seeing them together. Milka always referred to her husband as My Boby bringing smiles and joy to others.

Bob was immensely proud of his son David and the man he has become. Tatjana was forever his little girl. He had a bond with his children enjoying every moment with them. For his family he was their rock; constant, protective and a mentor.

In his final years, dementia gradually changed him, revealing a gentler, childlike sweetness that reminded us of the purity of his spirit. Though dementia altered his mind, it never touched the kindness and love that defined him. Even in his final days his 28 years of pioneering was not pushed aside but his service to Jehovah was muscle memory. He stood along side his brother and sisters in cart work and he was his happiest there.

Bob leaves behind a legacy of faith, strength, and unwavering devotion to family. His example will continue to guide those who loved him.

We look forward to the day when we will welcome him again — standing tall, strong, and healthy — as promised in Scripture, John 5:28, 29, Job 33:25, Isaiah 35:5-6. He will greet us with the smile that reached his eyes and embrace us in a way that assures us he will never leave again. There will be tears, but they will be tears of joy.

A Memorial service will take place on at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 11 St Patrick’s Drive, Brantford, Ontario, at 2:30 pm on Saturday, February 28th, 2026.
