DOAN, Lorne James – Passed away peacefully at Georgian Bay General Hospital, Midland, on Saturday, October 3, 2015, in his 85th year.

Lorne Doan, of Elmvale, dear husband of Betty (Toner) and the late Edith.

Loved father of Jeffrey and Ellen of Elmvale, predeceased by Richard and Roger.

He will be missed by his grandchildren Preston and Titan, sisters in-laws Joan & Gary Craig and Mary-Ann Burns, many nieces, nephews and friends.

Lorne is predeceased by brother Grenville (survived by Muriel Usher), sisters Elva Smith, Gladys Kitchen and brother-in-law Thomas Burns (survived by Virginia).

Friends may call at the Lynn-Stone Funeral Home, 15 Yonge St. S., Elmvale, on Tuesday, October 6, from 2 – 4 pm and 7 – 9 pm and on Wednesday from 1 pm until time of service, in the chapel, at 2 pm. 

If desired, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
