DODGE, Delmar Richard Dodge

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Delmar Richard Dodge on November 10, 2025, at the age of 68.
Delmar was the proud father of Krysta (Brian) Mendonca, Michael (Lindsay), Jeremy (Lauren), Abby (Brad) Buttery, and Emily (Jake) soon to be Alkins. He will also be lovingly remembered by their mother Sherri, whom they shared cherished memories and the joys of raising their family.

Known as “Gramps” to Cohen, Hayden, Lawson, Kayla, Owen, Evan, Cody, Arlie, Cameron, Chloe, Claire, Amelia, and Parker, Gramp’s greatest pride was his growing family. His eyes always lit up when talking about his grandkids, and his gentle teasing will be deeply missed.
Delmar is survived by his sister Norma (Bill) Leitch and his sister-in-law Mary (late Raymond) Dodge. Predeceased by his parents Ken and Jean Dodge.
Delmar had a deep love for all things farming, spending countless hours outdoors and finding peace in the simple rhythms of country life. His loyal 4-legged companion Jessie was always nearby, a constant source of comfort and company.
Delmar lived life on his own terms—determined and strong- and faced every health challenge in recent years with remarkable toughness and grace. He leaves behind a legacy of resilience, humour, and love that will live on in all who knew him.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Delmar’s entire health care team; special thanks to Steph and Greg.
A visitation will take place on Sunday, November 16, 2025 from 2:00-5:00p.m. at DENNING’S OF STRATHROY.
A private family gathering will be held at a later date to celebrate Delmar’s life.
In lieu of flowers, donations are appreciated and can be made to the Strathroy Middle General Hospital Foundation or a charity of one’s choice.
