DURFY, Donald Aubery  –

1928 – 2023

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Don at The Carpenter Hospice, on Monday, November 27, 2023, at the age of 95.

Beloved husband of Christine (nee Yoell) for over 71 years.

Dear father to Kevin (Julie) Durfy and Barbara (Barry) Frieday. Loving grandfather of Alex Durfy, Lauren (Payman, fiancé) Durfy, Stephanie (Brett) Vernon, Melissa (Erik) Frieday, Nicole Frieday, Brianne Frieday, and Kyle (Kathy) Frieday; and cherished great-grandfather to Alyssa Dalley, Kyleigh Dally and Theo Frieday.

Son of the late Aubery and the late Emma (nee Rogers); and brother to Betty Phair (John deceased) and Roger. (Rosemarie deceased).

He will be greatly missed by extended family and friends. Special thanks to palliative nurse, Mira, for all of her compassionate care.

Special appreciation to nurse, Crystal, at The Carpenter Hospice and to all of the many volunteers there who cared for Don.

Retiring after nearly 35 years with Firestone Canada Ltd., many enjoyable winters were spent in Florida.

Don was a member of The Masonic Lodge in Leamington.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. In memory of Don, donations may be made to The Carpenter Hospice.
