VOLLANS, Douglas Evans – Peacefully with family by his side at Bluewater Health, CEE Site, Petrolia, Douglas Evan Vollans passed away on Monday, December 21, 2015, at the age of 82.

Beloved husband of the late Elaine (Molson) (2005).

Loving father of Garth (Donna) Vollans, Teryl (Gary) Unsworth and Darla (Todd) Fiddick. Cherished grandfather of Kirk (Tiffany), Kent (Emily), Braedon, Kaeli, Marshall, Corrine, and Mitchel (Lindsay) and great-grandfather of Sawyer, Clay, Savannah, and Beckett.

Dear brother of Marilyn Gardiner and brother-in-law of Al (late Kay) Molson and Joan (late Rob) Molson. Loved uncle of Danny (Donna), Suzie, and David (Jane).

Predeceased by his parents Evan and Jean Vollans, brother-in-law Rob Molson, sister-in-law Kay Molson and brother-in-law Murray Gardiner.

Douglas was a dedicated member of the Petrolia Police Force, a lifetime member of the Steam Threshers, and a member of the Masonic Lodge in Petrolia. He loved his granddogs.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 9, 2016, at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia.
