GAYNOR, Douglas Neil  –  Doug passed peacefully at Brampton Civic Hospital on Sunday, March 31, 2024, at the age of 88.

Son of Francis and Gertrude Gaynor (deceased).

Brother of Joyce Jablonky (deceased). Loving husband of Brenda (nee O’Brien) for 64 years.

Proud father of Michael (deceased), Lori and Scott (Kerri). Grandpa to Michael (Nicole) and Danielle (Ben).

Gampa to Alexander, Matthew, Kadia and Amyra. Gramps to Noah and Olivia. Uncle to many nephews and nieces. Born in Montreal.

Graduated in Commerce from Loyola College. Graduated with an MBA from the Ivey Business School in 1963.

Lived in Brampton and enjoyed many years of classes in tai chi, yoga, writing, iPad at Flower City and mall walking with friends during his retirement years.

Taught Braille to many of the people at CNIB. Enjoyed travelling to many exciting countries.

Special thanks to the Staff and Doctors at Civic Hospital for their exceptional care and support over these past few weeks. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 10th from 9 to 11 a.m., followed by funeral service at 11 a.m. at Assumption Funeral Home at 6933 Tomken Rd. Mississauga.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Covenant House or World Vision would be appreciative.
