KEHOE, Douglas Edward Joesph   –  At the age of 80, with his husband and soul mate by his side, Douglas Kehoe passed away peacefully on January 2, 2023.

Predeceased by his parents, John and Lillian (nee Wilson) Kehoe; Douglas is survived by his husband, Richard Henry. Doug was born in Toronto on July 4, 1942, and lived there his entire life.

Although he was an only child, he will be truly missed by the many friends he leaves behind. Doug maintained friendships from primary school chums to university friends and those he met throughout his career as a librarian.

To know Douglas was to love him. A very articulate, charming and intelligent man, he genuinely cared what was happening in the lives of those he considered friends.

It is said that leaving a legacy is about how many lives and hearts you’ve touched while on this earth. Douglas’ legacy is immeasurable and his passing leaves a gaping hole in the lives of many.

A service will be held on Friday, January 20, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at The Chapel of St. James the Less in St. James Cemetery, 635 Parliament Street. A Celebration of Life will be held on July 4.
