McKAGUE, Douglas   – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Douglas McKague, on April 24, 2023, in Florida, at the young age of 75.

Doug was born in Toronto to Marion and Edward, and while attending York University met and married the love of his life, Terry, with his daughter, Dana, by his side.

Doug and Terry built an amazing life together with work and later, their three children.

Doug was a man of many passions, including flying his helicopter, travelling the world, photography (make sure you always take lots of photos), ancestry, hockey, golf, dinners with family and friends, and playing with his grandchildren.

He will be dearly missed by his wife of nearly 50 years, Terry; children, Dana (Ken), Savannah (James), Adrian (Michelle) and Justine (Ryan); grandchildren, Cole, Elijah, Theodore, Adeline, Alexander and Hendrix; siblings, Paul (Leslie), Joanne (Brian) and Laura; mother-in-law, Helen; and by many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Doug was predeceased by his parents, Marion and Edward; father-in-law, Nicholas; and his brother-in-law, Rob. He was a bold, funny, charismatic and exceptionally smart man, whose personality filled the room with laughter and joy. He will be missed by all of those who knew him.

A cremation has been performed, as per his wishes. A Celebration of Doug’s Life is planned for Saturday, June 17, 2023. Please contact a family member for details.
