BECK, Dr. Clive Mackie Beck

BECK, Dr. Clive Mackie Beck  –  Passed quietly in his sleep from complications from leukemia in the early morning of Friday, June 30, 2023 at Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto.

Clive was always positive right until the end of his long and interesting life.

Clive will be mourned by his beloved wife, Dr. Clare Madott Kosnik; his sons, Paul and Nicholas (Karen Dyson); and his grandchildren, Amelia, Zachary, and D’Arcy.

Clive was loved by his in-laws, Bertha, Anna Marie, Tony and their partners and many nieces and nephews.

Clive will be missed by his siblings, David, Neil, Trixie (Oates) and their families in Australia, where he was born in 1939 in Katanning, Western Australia on a sheep farm.

Clive taught for decades at the University of Toronto (OISE) where he was committed to education in every form. He was able to continue teaching until the end of the Spring term in 2023.

The family will receive friends at the Humphrey Funeral Home A.W. Miles – Newbigging Chapel, 1403 Bayview Avenue, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 4.
