Dr.SCOTT, David Scott

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Dr. David Scott, beloved son, brother, and uncle, on September 14, 2025, in Victoria, British Columbia. He was 54 years old.

David was born in Hinton, Alberta, to parents Sharon and Herb Scott, and grew up alongside his sisters, Allana and Laurel Scott. After completing his studies at the University of Alberta, David dedicated his career to dentistry, establishing a successful practice in Sidney, B.C., where he cared for patients and built lasting relationships over the past 30 years.

Beyond his professional life, David was a devoted family member who took great pride in his role as an uncle. He leaves behind his cherished nieces, Aryn Scott-Stretch and Jordyn Brandle, and his nephew, Logan Scott, who will always remember his warmth, sense of humor, and support.

David was a highly accomplished musician, being able to play any genre of music on his guitar.  His most cherished possession was his collection of guitars.  David was also a talented athlete, playing hockey and football at Notre Dame College.  He was passionate about weightlifting and fitness throughout his life.

David will be remembered for his generosity, infectious laugh, commitment to his family and the impact he made on the lives of so many—both in his family and in his community.

A private family gathering will be held in his memory. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a charity of your choice in David’s honor.
