DUIMERING, Elizabeth (Betty) Duimering
Elizabeth (Betty) Duimering
November 26, 1938 – March 1, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Elizabeth (Betty) Duimering announces her passing on March 1, 2025.
Betty lived a life rooted in faith, courage, and compassion, leaving behind a legacy of love that will forever be cherished.
Born and raised in The Netherlands, Betty experienced the challenges of war in her early years.
In 1952, she immigrated to Canada with her family, embracing a new life filled with hope and opportunity.
Two years later, she met her beloved husband, John, and in 1958, they married, beginning a beautiful journey together.
Betty devoted herself to raising her four children as a stay-at-home mother and volunteered with various organizations,
including Friendship Club, Bible Club, and Gospel Echoes Prison Ministry.
She had a passion for helping those in need and dedicated her time to underprivileged individuals and families.
A skilled knitter, quilter, and seamstress, Betty used her talents to give back to others.
One of her fondest memories was a trip to Africa, where she met children from Faith’s Orphanage—children for whom she had lovingly sewn clothes and quilted blankets.
Predeceased by her husband of 50 years, John, in 2012, Betty was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She will be deeply missed by her children: Elly (Joe) Sferrazza, Chris (Dale) Perneel, Joe (Sue) Duimering, and Brent (Laura) Duimering.
Her love and laughter will also be remembered by her 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
