With broken hearts the family of Ronald “Ron” Dumouchelle announce his passing on Friday, September 5, 2025 at the age of 84. Beloved husband of Anne Dumouchelle (nee Pitt) and Marlene (1977) (nee Kornelsen). Loving father of Robert (1977), Deanne Peter (John), Kate Dumouchelle, and Marnie Dumouchelle (Betino). Treasured grandfather of Erika, Lauren, Natalie, Misha, and Romy. Cherished son of the late George William Dumouchelle and Audrey Clarice Dumouchelle, and son-in-law of Jack Pitt (1991) (late Mary Lou) and Mickey Pitt (1974), and Henry Kornelsen (1996) and Mary Kornelsen (2000). Dear brother of Joyce Myers (2023) and husband Alan (1977), and Beverly Halmos (2025) and husband Jerry, and brother-in-law of John (2013), Jane, Margaret and husband Barry, Herbert Kornelsen (2020) and wife Clara, Ruth Palmer (2021), John Kornelsen (2008) and wife Sherry, and Margreta Gronski and husband Stan. Adored uncle of Jeff, Cheri, Laurie, Cindy, Grant, Wendy, Dean, Lindsay, Jordan, Chelsea, Brian, David, Wayne, Doug, Andrea, Drew, Chris, and many great nieces and nephews. Ron was a dedicated teacher for many years in the Windsor and Leamington area. He will be deeply missed by all those who know and love him. Ron’s family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. G. Pizzuti and Mila, Dr. S. Rukavina and all the hospice nurses, Alzheimer’s Respite, Amy’s Helping Hands, all of the ParaMed nurses, especially Raj, and all of the PSWs and Ontario Health at Home Care Coordinators.

Family and friends will be received at Windsor Chapel – Central Chapel (1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. 519-253-7234) on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A graveside service will take place at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery (366 Talbot St. W., Leamington) on Thursday, September 11, 2025 at 11am. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ron’s memory can be made to the Windsor Symphony Orchestra, Southwestern Ontario Gleaners, or the Alzheimer Society of Windsor and Essex County.
