DUSEN, James “Jim” Lenard Van Dusen

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of James “Jim” Lenard Van Dusen on May 7, 2025, at Stevenson Memorial Hospital in Alliston, Ontario, at the age of 75.

Jim was the devoted and loving husband of Margaret (née Colterman) for 55 wonderful years. He was a cherished father to Barry (Melissa) and Dan, and a proud and loving grandfather to James (Kayley), Jade, Rachel, and Jessica, and great-grandfather to Jayce.

Jim’s passion for music brought joy to many—he spent years playing in bands across local bars in Scarborough. A true car enthusiast, he also had a lifelong love for hot rods, always having one ready in the driveway.

Known for his kind heart and musical spirit, Jim will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Rod Abrams Funeral Home, Tottenham. Donations in Jim’s memory may be made to Parkinson Canada.
