DWYRE, Richard Douglas Dwyre

He went to be with the Lord on February 19, 2026. Richard is survived by his beloved wife of over 38 years Marilyn Dwyre (nee Carlton). Cherished father of Mark (Jacquie) and Scott (Julie). He was also a loving father to Alan (Shari), Robert (Stephanie), David Doseger and Carol Manning. Treasured grandfather of Jacob, Morgan, Michael, Eli, Brook (predeceased), Liam, Madyson, Autumn, Damien, Sarah, Heather, and great grandfather of Evelyn, Levi, Maisie and Myles. Richard is also survived by his sister Betty Harvey (Frank) and his nieces Heather and Beth, his sister-in-law Nancy Mauti (Fred) and brother-in-law Jim Carlton (Sally). He is predeceased by his parents Harry and Geraldine Dwyre (nee Kelsey). He leaves several other nieces and nephews.

Richard was known for his love of the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. He was an avid golfer, talented decoy carver and canoe builder. He also enjoyed spending time in his vegetable garden. Above all, Richard loved his family beyond words.

Family and friends may pay their respects at Barclay Funeral Home, 1033 Prince St., Lansdowne on Friday February 27, 2026 from 2-4 and 6-8pm. A Celebration of Richard’s Life will be held at Pine Grove Community Church, 3592 Pine Grove Rd, Seeley’s Bay on Saturday February 28, 2026 at 11:00 am. In memory of Richard, donations to the Gananoque Humane Society or Pine Grove Community Church would be greatly appreciated by the family.
