DYKEMAN , Robert William Dykeman

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Robert William Dykeman of Renfrew, Ontario on July 10, 2025 at 69 years of age, following a short and courageous battle with cancer.

Bob was the loving and supportive husband and best friend of Lynn (Ogden) Parsons for 30 years, protective and devoted stepfather of Brittany (Brent) Byce and Josh Parsons as well as being Opa to his two cherished grandchildren Colby and Callie Byce.

Bob is survived by his sister Betty, his father-in-law Jim Ogden, and the extended Ogden and Blimkie family as well as many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. He will also be missed greatly by his four legged best friend Bubba.

Bob was predeceased by his parents George and Della Dykeman, his sister Shirley and his brothers George and Les, as well as his mother-in-law Hilda Ogden.

After retiring from thirty six years with the Federal Government Bob took up golfing where he took great pleasure in hitting balls and chasing after them along with his buddies from Dragonfly. He enjoyed the socialization afterwards where he got to laugh and spend time with his favorite people.

A special thank you to Bob’s PSWs, palliative nurses and especially Dr. Pinard who went above and beyond to keep Bob comfortable at home.

Professional arrangements entrusted to Zohr Family Funeral Home, Renfrew. Visitation will be held on Thursday July 17,2025 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am. A funeral service will follow at the Renfrew Presbyterian Church, 460 Raglan Street South at 11:00 am.
