EBBERS, Regina Ebbers

Peacefully, in hospital and surrounded by her loving family on Friday, February 13, 2026, Regina “Ria” Ebbers passed away at the age of 90. Beloved wife of the late Henry Ebbers, Ria was a cherished mother of Dorothy (Daniel Lawrie), Terry (Michele), and John. She was a proud Oma of Linda (Andrew Guertin), Jennifer (Tim Pearsall), Jason (Mikayla), and the late Bradley, and a devoted Great-Oma to Spencer, Harper, Austin, and Tristan. Ria was a hard-working, selfless, and courageous woman. Though small in stature, she possessed a remarkable vitality and zest for life that touched everyone around her. Dear sister of Willy (Hilda and the late Gisele), Ena, Herb (Janice), and Margaret, and lovingly remembered by the families of the late Jo (late Harry), the late Gary (late Lise), and the late Tony. Ria will also be fondly remembered by her many neighbours and friends. The family extends sincere thanks to Dr. Merrett for his kindness and dedication, and to the compassionate staff at Winchester District Memorial Hospital and Hôpital Montfort for their exceptional care and support. At Ria’s request, there will be no wake or funeral service. In lieu of flowers, donations to Winchester District Memorial Hospital would be greatly appreciated.
