ECKERT, Calvin Louis Eckert

It is with broken hearts that we inform you that Calvin Eckert, passed away surrounded by his family on January 17, 2026, at the age of 59.

Calvin was a man of immense character who taught everyone around him to live life to the fullest. He was a gentle and giving soul, always ready with a laugh, a story, or a helping hand. He showed us the true importance of family, friendship, and enjoying the simple moments. His love of golfing, swimming, chocolate, the Leafs, and a good conversation will be fondly remembered and carried on by those who love him.

Calvin is deeply loved and missed by his loving wife and best friend Sue. Their countless conversations, weekend adventures, and time spent side by side will be held close forever. He was a proud and loving father to his daughters, Mariah (Brandon) and Sailah (Peter), who will miss his tight hugs, steady presence, and unwavering support more than words can express. He was also a cherished step-father to Madyson and Tyler, whom he loved and cared for as his own.

Calvin was a beloved brother of Margaret (Bob Curliss), Pauline (Brent Agar), and Gregory (Shelly). Always remembered by his best friend and cousin Todd. The many years of shared memories, laughter, and friendship will be treasured always.

He was predeceased by his parents Fred and Betty Eckert, and now reunited with brother, Bob Eckert, and dog Bentley.

His new puppy Kevin will continue to make him proud.

Family and friends are invited to join us to celebrate and honour Calvin’s life, at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas St., N, Cambridge on Monday January 26, 2026 from 12p.m., until the time of the Funeral Service to be held in the funeral home chapel at 1p.m.
