It is with saddened hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved father, son, and brother, Jim Economou on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at the age of 54.

Loving father to Victoria Economou, devoted son of Dina and the late Peter Economou (2013), and cherished brother of Ellen (Brad) Wilson. He was a proud uncle to Lauren and Peri Wilson, and will be fondly remembered by many aunts, uncles, and extended family across Canada, the United States, and Greece.

Jim was an avid Toronto Maple Leafs fan and found joy in the company of his closest friends: Bill Simeonakis, John Stahis, Bill Rigakos, and Bill Newton.

A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 1299 Murphy Rd., Sarnia. Visitation will take place at the church from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., followed by interment at Lakeview Cemetery.

Sympathy may be expressed through donations to St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church (cheques only at the funeral home please). Arrangements entrusted to Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia.
