EGGER, Johann Hans Egger

Gone to his heavenly home on October 4, 2025, at the Almonte General Hospital, in Almonte, ON, at the age of 91. Beloved husband of Anne for 60 years.

Devoted father of John (Jo-Anne), Suzanne (James), Michelle (Scott), and Laura (Tom). Adored grandpa/Papa of Conor, Emma (Nick), Amanda, Jonah, Mikayla, Heidi, and Madison. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Predeceased by siblings Heinrich, Josef, Josefine, and Franz. Hans immigrated from Switzerland to Canada in 1957, he found himself in Oakville, where he met his loving wife, Anne. Together they decided to make the move to Niagara Falls, where Hans continued the business of My Country Delicatessen for 10 years, and thereafter continued to work in grocery stores, until retiring to Ottawa.

The family will receive friends at Morse & Son Funeral Home, 5917 Main St., Niagara Falls, on Thursday October 9, 2025, between 11am and 12pm. A private family service to celebrate the life of Hans to begin at noon, with burial at Fairview Cemetery to follow.
