EGGERT , Carole Norlene Eggert

Carole Norlene Eggert, age 69, of Stratford, passed away peacefully after a brief courageous battle with cancer. Born in Windsor, daughter of the late Norman and Laura (Jackson) Eggert. Loving partner of George Hopf. Devoted momma to her felines Willow and Winston.

Carole will be fondly remembered by her sisters Lorna Eggert (Mark Knechtel), DJ Eggert, Susanne (Steve) Evanitski and her in-laws Joyce (Bill) Stubbings, Brenda (Bob) Reis and Kevin (Linda) Hopf as well as many nieces and nephews.

Carole worked for many years at Novatronics before her retirement. George and Carole thoroughly enjoyed their summer retreat at Auburn Riverside Retreat.

George would like to sincerely thank Katrina and Donnie from Auburn Retreat for their quick response in calling 911 and to all the Huron County Paramedics, the doctors and nurses at Alexandra Marine and General Hospital in Goderich and to all the wonderful doctors, nurses and staff at Stratford General Hospital for making Carole’s final days comfortable, your care and compassion will never be forgotten.

In keeping with Carole’s wishes cremation has taken place, and there will not be any visitation or service. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Stratford General Hospital Foundation or Stratford Perth Humane Society through the WG Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford, ON.
