LYONS, Eileen Harris  –

August 23, 1944 – July 4, 2023

It is with profound sadness that Eileen’s family announces her passing at Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital.

She leaves behind, Tom, her loving husband of 59 years; her children, Kelly Lyons Bowman (Ken) and Patrick Lyons; and her grandchildren, Liam Bowman (Dominique Lavoie) and Meghan Bowman (Adam De Grosbois).

Eileen was born in Toronto to William Harris and Mabel (Mamie) Wright Harris, and was also predeceased by her brother, George Harris.

She travelled the world extensively with her partner, and loved to share her stories with anyone who wanted to listen. Eileen will be remembered for her smile, her laughter, her kindness and compassion.

She was entirely non-judgemental, and had the innate ability to make others feel at ease and to be able to express themselves.

Eileen cared about and valued each and every friend along the way.

Cremation has taken place and a private family interment will follow.

A Celebration of Life will occur on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at Couchiching Golf and Country Club, 370 Peter Street N., Orillia, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.
