Stammers ElizabethAnneSTAMMERS, Elizabeth-Anne  –  Passed away at her home in Guelph, Ontario on Sunday, December 20th, 2015.

Elizabeth-Anne (Limebeer) Stammers, age 80 years, was the wife of William Stammers and mother of Karyn Davies (Brent), Kelly Farfaras (Tom), and Kristin Mirotta (Leo).

Predeceased by her brother James Limebeer.

Elizabeth-Anne and William recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in August.

Loving grandmother of Emily Davies-Robinson, Julia Mirotta, Adam Davies, Erika Farfaras, and Elizabeth Mirotta. 

Elizabeth-Anne grew up in Guelph and attended Macdonald Consolidated School, Guelph C.V.I., and the University of Guelph (B.A. ’80). She was employed as a high school supply teacher by the Wellington County Board of Education, a past President of College Women’s Club, a member of University Women’s Club and Guelph Historical Society, and served as a Chair at Guelph Museums Board. Betty-Anne’s ancestors were pioneers to Wellington County (Crane Farm). 

Family and friends are invited to the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph, for visitation on Thursday, January 7, 2015 from 5 – 8 p.m. A celebration of Elizabeth’s life will be held at the Hart Chapel on Friday, January 8, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. Private interment of ashes to take place at a later date. 

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Juravinski Cancer Centre Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
