HARRIS, Elizabeth Mae Harris

It is with sadness that the family shares the news of the unexpected passing of Elizabeth Harris.

Mother to Jason (Julia) and Jamie (Donna) Ozubko.

Beloved sister to David (deceased 1999), (Marlene, deceased 2020), Paul (Leigh-Anne), and Colinne (Paul).

Grandmother to Jonas and Jack. Aunt to Jennifer, Heather, Tim, Jana, Victoria, and Sarah. Born in Scarborough to Colin and Grace Harris (both predeceased), from a young age Elizabeth loved dancing.

For many years she excelled at Highland and Scottish dancing. She competed and won many awards for both.

Elizabeth spent many years helping people keep their smiles bright as the manager at Toronto-area dental offices.

She was a longtime member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church in Scarborough. She was leader of the Youth Group and made many cherished friendships.

Skilled with a whisk, she won awards for her pies at country fairs and also had her own business making and selling delicious English cakes.

She was also skilled at carpentry, building her own tables and shelves. She loved home décor, antiques, rom-coms, and her cats. She will be missed dearly and is now at peace. Cremation has taken place.

A Remembrance Service will be held at St. Andrews Church on May 4, 2024 at 1 p.m.

As expressions of sympathy, donations can be made in Elizabeth’s name to the Toronto Humane Society.
