Passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at Lake of the Woods District Hospital.

Elizabeth is survived by Fred, her husband of 59 years; sons Grant (Anastasia), Ross, and daughter Jocelyn; Marion Piotrowski; sisters Viola Dika, Margaret Lee (Daniel), and Lillian February; her grandchildren, Troy, Nicholas, and Tyler (Taylor), and great-granddaughter Isla.

She was predeceased by her father Frank, mother Helen Piotrowski, twin sister Isabelle Longe, brother Julius, and son Warren.

Elizabeth was born in Carragana, Saskatchewan, on November 21, 1935, and moved to Kenora in 1948 with her family. In Kenora, she completed her schooling, met Fred Longe and they were married in 1956.

Elizabeth started her career as a secretary, and she retired from Sutcliffe’s with 30 years of service. Elizabeth had a deep faith in God, which provided strength during her life. She was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church, and later attended Lakeside Baptist Church.

“Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul.”

Funeral Service will be held at Lakeside Baptist Church on Saturday, January 9, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to be at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Project Hannah.
