ELMS, Malcolm Rex Elms

It is with deeply saddened hearts that the family of Malcolm Rex Elms announces his passing on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at the age of 77.

Devoted husband of Jean Elms for 52 years. Dear brother of Jack (Rhonda) and Tom (Laura); and brother-in-law of Mike, Mary (John), Anita, and David. Lovingly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters-in-law Pat and Kathy.

Malcolm worked as a surveyor for many years and proudly ran his own company. He had a great love for the outdoors—camping, golfing, and whitewater rafting were among his favourite pastimes. A frequent traveler, he especially loved Myrtle Beach.

A movie buff to the end, he never rewatched a film and was known for his sharp logic and famously warped sense of humour.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society are appreciated (cheques only at the funeral home, please).
