KUDRASOVS, Elza Kudrasovs

It is with deep sorrow that the family of Elza Kudrasovs announces her passing on Sunday, February 11, 2024, at the age of 100 years young.

Loving mother of Juris and wife, Pamela; grandmother to Tera (Michael), Chelsey and Justin (Ashley); and great-grandmother to Ella, Cameryn and Markus.

She was truly a bright light in the lives of all who knew and loved her.

She was everyone’s Mom/Omi. So caring, compassionate, honest with a lovely sense of humour, always the life of the party.

Elza was born on October 17, 1929 in Riga, Latvia, to parents Ernests and Marija Apsitis.

Escaped the ravages of war to Sweden and married her husband, Alexander, in June, 1949, before immigrating to Canada in 1951. She worked for Dixie Cup Canada more than 30 years.

Elza always had a deep love and respect for her home country and her stories were shared in great detail. She was of sound mind and spirit and loved being outside in the garden, spending time at the cottage surrounded by friends and her family.

A celebration in honour of her 100th Birthday was shared in October 2023.

We all admire her legacy, never asking for much but knowing exactly what she wanted. She is now with Opa and Tera and surely smiling down upon us. A private burial has taken place with family.
