LO PRESTI, Emanuela “Nell” Lo Presti

Born March 31, 1923, died peacefully in her 101st year, on February 9, 2024, at Hollandview Trail Retirement Residence.

Daughter of the late Sebastiano Ruscica and the late Alice Marino. Spouse of 70 years to the late Anthony Lo Presti.

Cherished mother of Christine (Stephen) Richards, Joseph, and Alice (Eligio) Palermo. Beloved grandmother of Colin (Kathryn), the late Timothy, and Alex (Emma) Richards.

Predeceased by her siblings, Anne, Mary, Nancy, Alice, Tom, and Frank. Survived by her brother, Salvi.

Fondly remembered by Norma and Joan Lo Presti, Pearlie Zucchero, Margaret Cameron and Margaret Ruscica. Beloved aunt to her many nieces and nephews. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and a kind and generous friend.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Michael Lam, her Family Physician, to Dr. Allison Ransom and Nurses, Fariba and Nedda, from the Southlake Palliative Outreach Team.

We also send our thanks and appreciation to the many staff members of Hollandview Trail, especially to those who went the extra mile in an effort to make Nell’s end-of-life journey more peaceful.

Her vivacious, joyful presence will be missed by all. According to Nell’s wishes, cremation has taken place.

There will be visitation at Marshall Funeral Home, 10366 Yonge Street, Richmond Hill, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening, February 28th. Funeral Mass to be held Thursday, February 29th at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Roman Catholic Church, 15347 Yonge Street, in Aurora.
