EMARY, Marilyn Emary

Passed away at Hilltop Manor in Cambridge on Friday January 16, 2026, at the age of 88.

Loving and devoted wife of nearly 58 years to Dr. Robert “Bruce” Emary (predeceased June 16, 2025). Cherished mother of Michael (Caroline), James (Janet), Frank (Tina) and Peter (Colleen). Proud grandmother of Jennifer (Jason), Michael (Trish), Laura (Mike), Brittany, Nathan, Meghan, Brooklyn, Kaitlyn, Michaela, Samuel, Natasha, Tyler, Maggie, Anna and Elsie and great-grandmother of Joshua, Jordan, Jenna, Harley and Whyatt. Marilyn will also be sadly missed by her extended family and many wonderful friends, some of whom she considered as her own “adopted” family.

Originally from Mooretown, Lampton County and raised near Petrolia, Ontario, Marilyn met and married Bruce in Toronto in 1967 and, together with Michael, moved to the Preston area of Cambridge in 1968. Marilyn was a long-time active member of the church community and served in numerous roles in Cambridge (and later Kitchener, North Dumfries and Oxford County) where she initiated or organized several programs and ministries that impacted the lives of many individuals. She was also a ‘heart-and-soul’ leader among her immediate and extended families.

At Marilyn’s request, cremation has taken place. Resting at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas St., N., Cambridge, where family and friends will be received on Monday January 26, 2026, from 5-9p.m. Funeral Services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday January 27, 2026, at 11a.m. A private family interment will be held at Parklawn Cemetery.

As an expression of sympathy, and in honour of Marilyn and her desire to continually help and care for others, donations made to Parkinson Canada (www.parkinson.ca) would be greatly appreciated by the family. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at Hilltop Manor for the care and compassion shown to our mom and the entire family, particularly in her final days and weeks.
