ETCHEVERRY, Helen Etcheverry

It is with great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Helen.

Mom was predeceased by her loving husband of 62 years, Rosaire in 2016. She will be deeply missed by her 3 children, Vic (Lesley), Sharmaine (Brent Moir) and LaReine (Robert Saukarookoff). She also leaves to mourn her 7 grandchildren: Vicki, Melissa (Steve), Allison (Scott), Amanda (Tyler), Chelsea (Joshua), Bobbi (Chase) and Cole (Taylor). In the past 10 years Mom has also welcomed 9 beautiful great-grandchildren who loved her dearly.

Mom is now at peace and reunited with Dad and all of her huge family who have gone before her. She leaves us with so many wonderful memories and years of love and dedication to each one of us. Mom always welcomed every visitor with a meal, a coffee and baking, and an open home. Mom spent many years in Lake Country, BC and Kelowna, BC and moved to Chilliwack, BC after Dad’s passing. She received wonderful care in each of the carehomes she lived in, and they all had a special ‘love’ for her.

She is survived by her sister Joanne; sister-in-law, Lena; and Dad’s siblings: Simone, Lou (Betty) and Simeon. She also leaves many nieces and nephews, and their families across Canada, that meant so much to her.

We will hold a small family celebration in Kelowna in the Spring.
