It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carl Nelson Evans at Lakeridge Health Port Perry on April 26, 2025, at the age of 41. Born in Uxbridge, Ontario, Carl is survived by his beloved wife, Christa (née Lane), his parents Rose (née Wilson) and Neil Evans, sister Anna Van Dyke (Owen), and brother Graig Evans (Amanda).
Carl was a cherished uncle to a large and loving family: Kaydance and Grayson Lane, Violet and Wyatt Fischer, Brayden, Caylee and Ben Evans, Liam and Ayla Van Dyke, and Elayna Lane. As a beloved son-in-law, he is fondly remembered by Peter Lane (Janet) and Vicki Ayer (Ricky), and dearly missed by brothers-in-law Joseph (April) and William (Jenna) Lane, and sister-in-law Jennifer (Mike) Fischer.
A devoted and loving father, Carl leaves behind his two daughters, Madeline and Willa, the pride and joy of his life.
Special thanks are extended to Nurse Lindsay for her compassionate care, and to Dr. Hadden, Dr. Bibby, and the nurses at Lakeridge Health Port Perry for their kindness during Carl’s final days.
Taken far too young, Carl battled hard to watch his daughters play one more season of hockey and carefully planned for the coming planting season. A fifth-generation farmer, he loved and nurtured his land, animals, family, and friends with unselfish dedication. Carl never sought fame or fortune; his dreams were humble but meaningful: to grow his farm, raise a loving family, help a neighbour, share a laugh, and be remembered as a good man. In every way that mattered, Carl achieved his greatest dreams.
All are welcome to attend a public Celebration of Life at Low and Low Funeral Home, 1763 Reach Street, Port Perry, on Sunday, May 4, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. A private family service will be held at an earlier date.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Foodgrains Bank would be appreciated.
