EVEREST, Peter Robert Everest

It is with profound sorrow that the family of Peter Robert Everest of Welland, Ontario announces his sudden passing on February 25, 2026.

Born on April 19, 1946 to Cyril and Victoria Everest in Darlington, UK, Peter emigrated to St. Catharines, Ontario with his parents in 1947. After graduating from the St. Catharines Collegiate and Vocational School in 1965, Peter found employment with the Royal Bank of Canada in 1973. During his thirty-five-year career, he held several positions throughout Southern Ontario and at the Head Office in Toronto. He retired in 2008 as a respected and valued member of the management team from his final position as Senior Account Manager Commercial Markets in London, Ontario.

Retirement meant that Peter could devote more time to his favourite pastime of golf, rarely refusing an opportunity to play with his brothers or with friends. Above all, it allowed him to spend more time with his family. He is deeply mourned by his devoted wife Anita, his brothers Bill (Donna), Bruce (Cynthia), and Rick (Kimberly), and by his only sister, Carol.

Predeceased by his son Paul (2015), Peter is survived by his wife, by his daughter Andrea (TJ McKay), his 4 grandchildren as well as by several nieces and nephews.

A private Celebration of Life is planned for April, followed by interment in Tilbury, Ontario.
