Passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 89, just short of his 90th birthday, surrounded by his beloved wife and family. Born in Orcenico Superiore, Italy, Lino immigrated to Canada at 18 years of age in search of a better life. He leaves behind his devoted wife of 43 years, Margaret, and his daughters Idelma (Walter) Marcon and Denisa (David) Blackburn. Step father to Jim (Lisa) and Cathy. He was a proud Nonno to Eddy, Amanda, Aaron, and Andria, and a cherished Bisnonno to several great-grandchildren. Dearest brother to Guiditta and the late Rino Fabris and the late Giuseppe and (Meri) Fabbro, the late Solidea and (Rino) Rumiel, the late Rinaldo and (Giulietta) Fabbro, the late Luigi and (Italia) Fabbro. Dear brother in law Barbara (Richard) Roettger and the late Brenda Collins. Lino was dearly loved by several nieces and nephews across Canada, Italy, and Argentina. A heartfelt thanks to the Rumiel’s for the cherished memories and their unwavering support during this difficult time. Lino was a proud founding member of the Fogolar Furlan Club, where he found joy and camaraderie among friends. He worked many years for Eastern Construction and was a proud member of the Bricklayers’ Union. Later, became the dedicated owner of a small construction business called Fabbro Construction. His craftsmanship and work ethic left a lasting mark on his community. Beyond his professional life, Lino’s true passion was his garden and immaculate yard. He delighted in woodworking, creating beautiful stone pots for flowers, and sharing his creations with family and friends. His generosity, creativity, and love for nature will be remembered by all who knew him. The generous support and assistance from his beloved neighbours and friends, will always be remembered by his family. Lino’s legacy is one of family, friendship, hard work and devotion to the simple joys of life. He will be deeply missed and forever treasured.

Visitation will be held at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home – Banwell Chapel (11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. 519-253-7235) on Tuesday December 2nd, 2025 from 2-5pm and 7-9pm, with prayers at 4:30pm. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday December 3rd, 2025 at 10:30am in the chapel, with entombment to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens. Donations in honor of Lino may be made to the Windsor Regional Hospital Cancer Centre or Hospice of Windsor.
