FERRARELLI, Mary Ferrarelli
January 2, 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Ferrarelli, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, on January 2, 2026, at the age of 71, with family by her side at the Royal Jubilee Hospital.
Mary leaves behind a large family and many friends that will miss her dearly. Loving wife for 53 years to Frank Ferrarelli. Cherished mother to Rosalina Munro (Michael), and Domenic Ferrarelli (Lisa). Devoted Nonna to Carter and Massimo Munro, and Chela and Amara Ferrarelli. Caring sister to John Alessio. Mary is predeceased by her parents Domenico and Caterina Alessio, and by her brothers Andy and Dick Alessio.
Mary was selfless. She was always helping and thinking of others. She loved cooking and baking and sharing with everyone. She loved exploring and travelling to new places with Frank, and was always planning their next adventures. Most of all, Mary loved her children and grandchildren more than life itself. She fought her battle for them. She loved to bake with the girls and attended as many sporting events as possible for the boys. She was always their loudest cheerleader. Mary was also a loyal friend. She had a large circle of amazing friends with whom she faithfully kept in touch and always looked forward to seeing.
Our family would like to extend very heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff of the Oncology and Palliative ward at RJH, who provided such compassion during a difficult time. We would also like to thank Dr. J.P. McGhie and René Korchinski, NP for their attentive care, kindness, and dedication over the past 4 years while she fiercely battled cancer.
