FERRIER, Lloyd David Ferrier
March 4, 1938 - January 30, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Lloyd David Ferrier on Friday, January 30, 2026, at Algonquin Grace Hospice, Huntsville, at the age of 87.
A Life of Hard Work and Love
Lloyd and his beloved wife, Eva-May (nee Ireland), first met at a dance in Shelburne. They were married on July 15, 1961, and would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary this year.
After completing grade eight, Lloyd dedicated himself to helping his family. A man who could fix anything he put his mind to, he built a career as a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator and Carpenter. He had a profound love for horses—once keeping as many as 29 for both work and riding—and was an avid hunter, trapper, and passionate beekeeper. In his later years, Lloyd became well-known as “The Tractor Man,” refurbishing tractors to give them new life. When he wasn’t outdoors, Lloyd loved a good card game, watching a Western, or dancing with Eva-May.
