FINNIMORE, Brian Albert Finnimore
January 28, 1964 - February 6, 2025
Brian Albert Finnimore was born on January 28, 1964, in Selkirk, Manitoba, the fourth of five children to Harry (Albert) and Jean. He passed away on February 6, 2025, surrounded by loved ones near and far.
Brian is predeceased by his parents and is lovingly remembered by his wife, Tracie; his children Brianna (Ryan), Jackson, and Maggie; and his siblings Sharon, Susan (George), Barry (Lynn), and Shauna (Robert). He will also be deeply missed by his mother- and father-in-law, Carolyn and Ross Pawson; his sister-in-law Lisa (Greg); his many nieces and nephews; and his extended relatives and friends.
Growing up in rural Manitoba, Brian loved baseball, fishing with his dad, and road trips camping across the country. He lived from Vancouver to Moncton and had a long career in the travel and IT industries. A passionate traveler, he visited many countries, with Boston being a favorite destination.
Brian was gregarious, charming, nostalgic, and always eager to learn. He was deeply engaged in his community, coaching soccer and hockey and contributing his time and skills to the church. A devoted sports fan, he cheered for the Boston Bruins, the Minnesota Vikings, and the Houston Astros, and he had a special love for curling.
Above all, Brian was most proud of his children: Brianna, Jackson, and Maggie. He was grateful to celebrate their high school graduations and to witness Brianna’s marriage to Ryan.
Brian’s legacy of generosity continues with his selfless contribution to medical research through the donation of his brain and spinal column to aid in the study of Corticobasal Degeneration (CBD).
