FIRKA,Mark Firka

Born in Poland, came to Canada at the age of 18. Worked for the company Siemens for 50 years.

Mark leaves behind his loving wife Pauline of 51 years. Father to Susanne and grandfather to Mason 5, and Henry 2. Brother to Jim (Diane) and Andy (Yola). Predeceased by brother Stan (Jadwiga) in 2023 and his parents Zofia and Wladyslaw.

Mark’s love of cycling brought him a great sense of accomplishment and pleasure. He made lifelong friends who loved Mouse’s (Mark) sense of humour. He fought hard for life through a stroke, cancer twice, stints in his heart and shingles. One can only admire such a man. A man with a smile on his face. He was a giving person and a family man. He spent his last years looking after his grandsons. May his memory be a blessing and may we carry his legacy of love and compassion in our hearts.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday November 19, 2025, at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West from 7 – 9 p.m.

Mass will be held at St. Hedwig Parish, 411 Olive Ave, Oshawa, ON L1H 2P9 on Thursday November 20, 2025, at 11 a.m.
