FORTIER, Cathy Fortier

It is with saddened hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Cathy on November 5, 2025 at the age of 77 after a brief illness. Devoted wife of 47 years to Ernie. Loving Mom to Marnie Pinkney and Randy (Julie) Fortier. Proudest Grandma to Sam, Nick, Lori, Emily and Jaq. Dear sister to Jim (Carol), Bill (Mary-Rose), Shirley, late Barb (survived by Bob), Danny, Mary (late Robert), Margie (Mike), Mike, Johnny and Anne (David). Reunited with parents Jack and Edith Sparrow and sister Barb Marion. Sister-in-law to the late Paul, Leona (Danny), Darlene (late John), Leo, Leonard (Tanya) and Lawrence (Sev). Cathy will be remembered by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Cathy was a dedicated bartender for over 30 years at Bronson’s Tavern where she worked until it closed and more importantly where she met her love, Ernie. She enjoyed spending her time gardening, playing bingo, her love of her cats (Luna, Pepper and Pita), shopping, but her greatest joy was the time spent with her family.

Visiting Sunday November 9th, 2025 from 1 pm until 4 pm at Families First 3260 Dougall Ave. Cremation to follow.
