FOWLER, Gary Fowler

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Gary Paul Fowler, age 68, of Gananoque, Ontario, on November 4, 2025, after a long courageous battle with cancer.

Gary was a loving husband, father, papa, brother, and friend. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 48 years, Debbie, and his children, Paul (Carolyn), Nicole (Phil), and Chelsea (Tim), who will forever carry his love and lessons in their hearts. Gary was also the proudest Papa of Payton, Colt, Carter, Paisley, and Oakley, who were the light of his life and the source of so many of his smiles.

Born to the late Harold and Kaye Fowler, Gary grew up surrounded by a large, close-knit family. He is survived by his siblings Shirley, Teresa (Dave), Marie, Angie (Carl), Harold (Elaine), Jerry (Natalie), and Dougie (Barb), and predeceased by his sisters Vicki and Laurie and brother in laws Martin Vanhal and Gary Hart.

Gary had a deep love for the outdoors and a lifelong passion for hunting. Whether in the woods at dawn or sharing stories about his hunting trips, he found peace and purpose in nature. He was happiest surrounded by family, telling stories, sharing laughter, and living life with quiet strength and generosity.

Those who knew Gary will remember his kind heart, gentle spirit, and the way he made everyone feel at ease. His love for his family was unwavering, and his presence will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

A celebration of Gary’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honour Gary’s memory by taking a moment to enjoy the outdoors—just as he loved to do.
