FRANCIS, Robert Francis

Today we mourn the passing of Robert Francis, known to most as Bob. Bob passed away peacefully at home in Oshawa on 26 December 2025 at the age of 70.
Bob was born in Toronto on 18 July 1955. Bob is survived by Linda Francis (née Kucherepa), his wife of 29 years, and their son Patrick Francis.
Bob worked in several different careers throughout the course of his life, each one making him an interesting teller of stories and experiences.
Bob loved to cook, to eat and to feed those he loved. He loved to travel, going far and wide, by himself and with his family. One of his fondest memories was taking a cooking class at the New Orleans School of Cooking in New Orleans. He enjoyed lovingly preparing the dishes at home for friends and family. Most recently he stayed closer to home, enjoying interesting and quirky day trip excursions in Ontario. He loved music and enjoyed tribute concerts for his favourite bands at a local theatre.
Bob loved photography. He was passionate about black and white photography, and at one time worked in his own dark room to develop his films. More recently, he explored the world of digital photography and worked to expand his skill set.
Bob will be missed by many people, close to home and far away.
A celebration of life will take place in the spring of 2026, with details will follow.
