VERT, Frank Vert Obituary
VERT, Frank – Passed away suddenly on Wednesday, October 7th, 2015 at his home in Ottawa. He was in his 83rd year.
Enjoying his retirement from the health care industry, he traveled with his wife of 55 years, Theresa, to many countries and particularly enjoyed the ones full of sun and religious history. He was a devoted volunteer coordinator at Saint Patrick’s Basilica lending library, through which he met many people who shared his faith and passion.
He was also an active sponsor at Alcoholics Anonymous, where he steadfastly worked to help others in need. He was a lively character who brought a laugh to everyone he met.
Frank leaves behind his eight children; David (Carrie), Gerry (Marty), Chris (Susan), Andy (Debbie), Dan, Claudia (Andre), Patrick (Yvonne), Michelle (Brian); grandchildren; Shauna, Kevin, Michael, Adam, Colin, Darcy, Kieran, Nicole, Amelia G., Amelia M., and Danika.
He is also survived by his sister Anne and brother Robert. He is predeceased by brothers Edward, Eric, and Joseph and sister Rosie.
Friends will be received at Beechwood Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services, 280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa, Ontario on Wednesday, October 14th from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, October 14th at 11:00 a.m. in Beechwood’s Sacred Space.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ottawa Heart Institute is appreciated by the family.
