It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Lenore Marie Fraser (née Newstead), who left us peacefully on Sunday, June 8, 2025, in Hamilton, Ontario. Lenore was 60 years old. Born on November 3, 1964, in Guelph, Ontario, she dedicated many years to the hospitality and retail industries. She worked at McDonald’s, Bootlegger in Guelph, Hewitts Dairy Bar in Hagersville, and from 1997, as a dedicated manager for Kelseys Restaurants in Hamilton and Burlington.
Lenore was an avid reader and enjoyed curling, learning the sport and making lifelong friends at the Haldimand Curling Club. She was also the president of the Hagersville Figure Skating Club and volunteered her time there. In her later years, while bravely navigating Alzheimer’s, Lenore found comfort in Elvis music and enjoyed dancing and singing our national anthem.
Lenore is survived by her partner Kevin Proctor, her mother Marie Newstead, daughter Lacie Hampson (Ryan Hampson), grandchildren Ruby and Pearl, step-children Sarah and Matthew, sister Lynne (Doug), and step-grandchildren Hayden, Ava, Emma, and Catherine. She was predeceased by her father, Jim Newstead.
Family and friends will be received at Hyde & Mott Chapel, 60 Main St. S, Hagersville, on Wednesday from 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm, and on Thursday from 10 am to 11 am. A Celebration of Lenore’s Life will follow at 11 am in the chapel.
